HEALTH GUARANTE
1. Cowboys Bullies guarantees puppy to be in good physical
condition for 48 hours after Buyer receives puppy. For this
health guarantee to become effective, Buyer must have said puppy
received a complete physical by a licensed veterinarian within
48 hours of delivery. Failure to do so voids the Health
Guarantee. If the veterinarian finds said puppy to have a
serious physical condition other than a viral or bacterial
infection, including a bacterial cold, Cowboys Bullies will
replace the puppy with another puppy of the same sex and
comparable quality. Buyer must understand that Coccidia and
Giardia are common in puppies and can be brought on from the
stress of change. Kennel cough, also caused by bacteria, can be
contacted during shipment. Puppies are also susceptible to fleas
and other parasites during shipping which are not considered a
serious physical condition. The Buyer must make Cowboys Bullies
aware of any serious physical condition within 48 hours of the
time that the Buyer receives the puppy. The replacement puppy
will be delivered to the Buyer only after the defective puppy
has been returned with registration, and as soon as a comparable
puppy becomes available. All transportation expenses related to
the original puppy as well as the replacement puppy is the
responsibility of the Buyer. Full medical documentation must
precede the return of the defective puppy. The documentation
must explicitly and singularly identify that the cause of the
puppy`s defect is genetically related. The result of this
documentation is to be evaluated by a veterinarian of the
seller`s choosing to confirm and authenticate the results
provided by the Buyer`s veterinarian. The findings and opinions
of the seller`s veterinarians are to be considered the final and
ultimate opinion. All transportation expenses involved in the
return of the original puppy as well as the replacement puppy is
the responsibility of the Buyer. Cowboys Bullies does not agree
to compensate the Buyer for any veterinarian expenses and we do
not offer cash refunds.
The Buyer has five days upon the discovery of the above
mentioned serious physical condition to return the puppy and
registration to the seller. Failure to return the puppy to the
seller within five days are construed to reflect that the Buyer
is satisfied with the puppy`s health and absolves the seller
from any and all responsibility from that day forward for
non-genetic illnesses or problems.
2. Cowboys Bullies guarantees puppy to be free on any
genetic/hereditary defects that cause death or serious
impairment of vital functions in said puppy until one year of
age. Any problems with hips will not be covered until said puppy
is at least 12 months of age. Cowboys Bullies will cover hips
and elbows against crippling until purchased puppy/dog is 18
months of age. In the event of crippling hips and elbows, a
replacement puppy will be delivered to the Buyer, at the Buyer`s
expense, as soon as a comparable puppy, as determined by seller,
becomes available. Cowboys Bullies does not agree to compensate
the Buyer for any veterinarian expenses and we do not offer cash
refunds. All test results and X-rays used to diagnose crippling
hips and elbows must be submitted to a veterinarian of the
seller`s choosing for evaluation. The findings and opinions of
the seller`s veterinarian are to be considered the final and
ultimate opinion.
Buyer understands because of the angularity and frame structure
of Bulldogs, a person could make the case that every bulldog (in
theory) is dysplastic to degree. Much of what could be
clinically classified as dysplasia via X-ray, has no negative
impact on the dog in terms of discomfort or physical limitations
and is a result of breed characteristics that are specified in
the breed standards.
3. In the event of sudden death of a puppy that we sell, due to
genetically related circumstances, we agree to replace the puppy
with a puppy of comparable quality, as determined by the seller,
as soon as a comparable puppy becomes available, and after the
seller receives a certificate of death issued from a licensed
veterinarian. Cowboys Bullies does not agree to compensate the
Buyer for any veterinarian expenses and we do not offer cash
refunds. The certificate of death must say explicitly that the
cause of death was related to an identified genetic condition.
The results of this certificate are to be evaluated by a
veterinarian of the seller`s choosing to confirm and
authenticate the results. All post-mortem procedures performed
on the deceased puppy are the responsibility of the Buyer. All
transportation expenses related to the replacement puppy are the
responsibility of the Buyer. Cowboys Bullies does not agree to
extend this policy to puppies that die in a non-sudden
manner,(i.e. from a condition that the buyer becomes aware of
previously but elected not to return the puppy to the breeder
for a comparable replacement within the specified period of time
of 5 days).
4. Although a conscious effort is made by Cowboys Bullies to
breed and produce sound, healthy bulldogs, buyer should
understand that due to the nature of this breed, Bulldogs are
predisposed to certain medical abnormalities beyond our control
including cherry eye, stenotic nares,
entropian, loose hips and skin allergies. We do not breed
dogs with undesirable conditions such as mange or bad hips, but
we cannot guarantee that previous generations did not have these
conditions in their lines. Therefore, we cannot guarantee these
conditions will not show up unbeknownst to us in future litters.
The Buyer is urged to research the breed and be familiar with
all the health issues that could affect their bulldog before
entering into this or any agreement to purchase a bulldog. It is
also very important to have a veterinarian knowledgeable about
the breed to use as your vet.
5. At time of purchase, puppy will be current on all wormings
and vaccinations according to age. Buyer agrees to keep all
vaccinations and wormings current, including rabies, and to
provide regular heartworm preventative as prescribed by your
veterinarian. Buyer also agrees to keep the puppy/dog in humane
conditions, providing proper food, water and shelter. This
guarantee will be completely null and void if said pup is used
for any sort of illegal activity (i.e. dog fighting) or any
extreme sports (i.e. weight pulling), or is mistreated, abused
or not taken care of.
6. We represent our puppies as being suitable as pets only. We
make no claim that they are suited as breeding or show animals
and we offer no compensation for circumstances or
characteristics that limit the dog`s ability to be bred or
competitively shown.
7. Buyer understands that Cowboys Bullies does not refund
deposits in any amount for any reason. By sending Cowboys
Bullies a deposit in any amount, and signing below, you are
agreeing to be bound by our NO REFUND POLICY. Buyer’s signature
